Wyndham will tell you things that you will find out later to be untrue. When you go to their owner's meetups at every vacation. They are very slick and get you to upgrade and they also do it over the phone. I have had 4 upgrades and ONLY 2 vacations. The upgrades were supposed to make things better for us to use our points. But really we were told the initial purchase was going to give us what the upgrades have. So we feel swindled. The costs do not add up to what they tell you. We are just tired of this. $127, 800 to get what we were told we would get at $14, 700!!! Do not fall into this trap. We have not been able to get ahold of people in customer service. It is a mess. Stay clear of this company. They pretend as they care but in hindsight, they took us for our money and used our trust to do so.

My husband made reservation at the Wyndham in New York (fresh meadows location. Days in advance of our stay. When we checked in they gave us a handicap room, no ice bucket,no drinking glasses and no tv remote.. He spoke to gentlemen at the desk and told him we did not reserve a roon in days in advance to receive this type of room. There was no manager on site and was not able to contact him via telephone.

These last 3 years that we have had ownership with this scam of a company has truly been a horrendous ordeal for us. This might not be 100% the companies' fault, but they have been a huge part of it, especially because their agents knew what happened and used it to pretend, they wanted to care for us and in the end, they screwed us just to get a sale. This treatment was beyond evil. A hurricane blew a tree on our house and we let the agent know that and also my son died and we got custody of his 3 kids and Sam Eldin offered to send us Christmas presents and we told him we had surgeries coming and he stated that they would rent out our unit and send us a check to cover the costs while we were out for surgery. So we upgraded and NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. They refuse to help us. The BBB could not help us and neither could Consumer Affairs. This company is a bunch of sharks and no one seems to be able to regulate their horrible treatment of people. I do not wish bad on anybody but these people need to be run out of business. We are elderly and on a fixed income and they are messing with our health and livelihood and no one seems to care.

-Grand Desert in Las Vegas, NV

-Tropicana in Las Vegas, NV

-Royal Garden in Honolulu, HI

-Glacier Canyon in Baraboo, WI

-Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, CA

- Anaheim in Anaheim, CA

Needless to say $ the 23,379 charged to OWN AND TRAVEL FREELY was a scam and the maintenance fees of $74.23 pays to upkeep the properties I CAN NOT GET INTO TO, well lets just say NO MORE.

I suggest anyone run far away from this company. They refuse to cancel us even thought they refuse to let us vacation.

No hot water

Rented a jacuzzi room and from 6 a.m. to noon to the checkout was no hot water . The managment continues to say they checked the room after my stay and calling me a liar BASICALLY. I can assure you the room didnt have hot water and i took a cold shower . granbury tx la quinta wyndham hotel . Terrible i just wanted the standard room bill atleast and their stating thatll be a 10 dollar reinbursement . Lol such clowns..

Appears to have had a change of ownership or management. Have stayed there before without complaints. Another couple booked a room as did my wife and I. We found the WORST kind of stains(5) on our sheets. The sheets had not been washed and the bed was made. The other couple found the same thing but also on the bed spread. A call to the front desk received an offer to change the sheets!!! We insisted on a different room. DO NOT STAY HERE FOR ANY REASON, PRICE OR CONCESSION. They reacted as though it was a fairly common complaint. A $10 discount was given for "Misc Issues in room". The other couple received the same discount. Had it not been a long day and being later at night departing, would have been a much better choice. Im honestly concerned about possible health issues from this. Wyndham needs to reassess what flop houses do to their reputation PHOTOS WILL BE ADDED

Vacation Club Ownership is ripoff

This company is a rip-off. It is hard to book a vacation and when you do, its usually a compromise just to use your points. I pay a huge premium to vacation as I please ( this is Wyndham's words) But even with a few upgrades, they can not seem to hold up that "Dream". They act like its your fault you do not know how to use the points but now in hindsight, they have it rigged. They have some class actions against them that say they control the reservations system, and from experience, I have to say I agree. If I can go online and get into a resort without using my ownership, but Wyndham refuses me as an owner, they say it's full, ITS RIGGED. We pay a hefty price tag for 'priority booking" over non-owners and that is a load of crap. They can get in and I can not. What we pay each month in maintenance would get us a nice 12-day vacation, however, I can only get 4 days with the points I have so the mortgages that I pay for providing me nothing. That is well over $100,000 in mortgages and I can only get 4 days which the maintenance fees more then cover, YOU TELL ME IF THEY ARE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH HIGHWAY ROBBERY. This should be illegal.

I book hotel reservation with Howard Johnson by Wyndham Tropical Palms Kissimmee at 4311 West Vine St Highway 192 Kissimmee, Florida 34746. I am flying today, July 4, 2019, from Virginia and will arrive in Florida tonight without a hotel because of the manager and staff at this hotel. Instead of resolving my simple complaint: the manager decided to lie to me and say there was no contact information to corporate or to file a formal complaint; canceled my reservations without my permission; and hang up on me.

Lied to by manager, whom canceled my reservations without my permission while i was on the phone with her, and then she hung up on me. Left me and my family without a hotel the day we are to arrive from out of town.

We requested a cancellation, as I have not been able to use my timeshare for 6 years due to being an active duty member and The limited time I am home and able to take a vacation we have not been successful in booking a vacation where we need to go. We complained previously and they talked us into an upgrade to fix the booking issue but yet we still have the SAME PROBLEM. They have refused to even acknowledge receipt of our letter. We have talked to several people there, and they just threaten foreclosure. We refuse to pay money for something we can not use due to them not allowing us to book anything. How fair is it that a company can charge people thousands of dollars then deny them to use it and get away with it, because that is exactly what they are doing. We are not the only one with booking issues.

This company inflates prices for the Timeshare. They control the booking systems https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/travel/914952-wyndham-class-action-says-timeshare-sales-are-deceptive/ They refuse to help people when they have cancer. Mind you, they act like this is an investment and its like real estate and its not. This is not a home, this is "the hope of a vacation" we paid for. If people can not use it due to Wyndham's inability to have "vacancies" for just their owners, but they allow Johnny ride in on a bike to come in with cash and stay. That is setting up limitations on my contract which is not legal and ethical to continue to try and force people us pay. It is unbelievable that a company this huge can not just release someone that has not been able to benefit in any manner from what they are paying huge premiums for and the next person who is not an owner has more rights to the resorts then I do. On top of it My husband has cancer and does not feel up to leaving most days and they refuse to help in any manner. This is unbelievable stuff. Stay away from Wyndham. They are thieves at best.

Accidentally booked wrong city called Hotel immediately they prompted me to call booking.com also called Hotel again they refused to refund my charges for room they said I needed to contact them 24 hours prior to my booking which I did call them within a half hour of booking. Very upset

The following is a complaint against the Wyndham Resorts timeshare. When we were in Puerto Rico, the salesmen made timeshare ownership sound so exciting! When we began to use the ownership we found that things weren’t exactly as sold to us. The sales reps told us that there would be no problem going wherever we wanted to go but there was no availability in the places we wanted to go and it has been a disappointment. There have been costs that they didn’t tell us about either – hidden costs you could say...when speaking to a reservation agent, when we looked over our statements there have been discrepancies that the reps have been unable to explain. If they don’t know what the charges are for, how are we supposed to know? For signing the contract, the sales reps gave us RCI points for “free”. We had to pay for them. The salesmen made a big deal telling us how easy the timeshare would be to sell. It isn’t. They told us that in the event we couldn’t use it or wanted to get rid of it Wyndham would be glad to take it back because you could just sell it again no problem. Once again, the sales reps lied to us. A couple of other points the salesmen lied about: They told us that we could use points for airfare and car rentals. There are major costs in actually using points for these purposes. They showed us charts about low maintenance fees and made notes and diagrams they took with them. The salesmen lied to us as you can see and left out other important pieces of information. The ownership isn’t at all what they made it out to be. One very important point: we had slept on the purchase and told you the very next day we wanted to cancel. You told us we couldn’t do that and wouldn’t let us.
