Well hello Goodmorning... I.was contacting u about ur location in texas city.

I have been doing this for 27 + years. I was called by the Owner and asked to come bavk i said yes. And inwas the only one they had. And did it all.

These rooms are not easy to clean they r loaded with roaches mold n the air filters has not been changed in months. They talk bad bout me to other employees. They dont have no chemicals at all not even able to wash. Everyone on the property has issues with her she don't care.

I have proof of everything that im listing. She smokes in her room but charges other people 60 dollars. Its not pet friendly but she has animals. They stay over even said they was never treated good til i started there.

She never works n sleeps all day long. She has yet paid me n my cousin n im getting me a lawyer. And calling the laws and ice. Taken all this to the health dept.

She will not pay me n its a very dirty n unorganized working environment i have every worked for. From the dryers that is never cleaned n never cuts off runs all day. But i have plenty of pics i will be sending to the heath dept. She throws all the new linen away cause she dont have no chemicals to wash them with but hot water.

I really hope n pray something is done eith this.

I work 7 days a week for her n when i ask for my money she wants to try to let me go. Well im getting a laywer.

MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD: Salmonella Poisoning at Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc – Corporate Negligence

I am writing this to alert the global travel community and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Corporate HQ about a life-threatening incident involving my 2.5-year-old son at the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

Our son was clinically diagnosed with Salmonella (confirmed by Vinmec International Hospital, Receipt No. R4400-20**-**014432) after consuming spoiled, fermented watermelon at the hotels Nautilus Restaurant.

Despite clear medical evidence and prescriptions for specific antibiotics (Mecefix-B.E) used for bacterial infections like Salmonella, the hotel management has officially denied all liability.

Key Failures of this 5-Star Property:

1. Food Safety Breach: Serving spoiled food to a minor is a gross violation of international health standards (HACCP).

2. Gross Negligence in Service: When our sick child had an accident at 05:30 AM, it took the hotel staff OVER 4 HOURS to replace the soiled mattress. My toddler was forced to remain in unsanitary conditions until nearly 10:00 AM while management ignored our urgent calls.

3.

Lack of Accountability: Instead of taking responsibility, the hotel offered "soup and pizza" as a solution. They are protecting their "statistics" over the safety of a child.

This experience has completely tarnished the Wyndham Grand brand for us.

A "Luxury" tier hotel that poisons a child and then denies medical facts is not a safe place for families. We have escalated this matter to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and Wyndham Global Corporate.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PROPERTY WITH YOUR FAMILYS HEALTH.

Loss:
$5000
Cons:
  • Meal
  • Toddler poisoned
  • Salmonella

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Do not risk your family's health. This property prioritizes "statistics" over guest safety. Avoid at all costs.

The room needs to be updated because the floors are so bumpy and they have really deep scratches in them and the chair looks like its really used in. The furniture is just really worn out and it looks nasty and its not managements fault here thats working its the people up at corporate that they dont put money into the rooms.

They need to invest into the rooms because these rooms are just really worn down and Im really displeased as a Wyndham customer I stay at a lot of Wyndhams and Ive never been at one like this this bad poor quality of Wyndham and its just upgrading the furniture upgrading the paint upgrading the decorations. It just feels like its so worn out and this hotel needs some love and I hope that you guys invest some money into your rooms to get them looking more positive energy. This is a very negative down dreary, depressed room. The lady working in the management office was lovely.

Its not her fault.

Its whoevers decorating these rooms and saying you know, we need to upgrade these rooms I mean the floor is terrible. Theres such large scratches in the floors and its just theyre stains and bumps and its just it feels nasty.

User's recommendation: Do not invest money in Wyndham hotels. Until they begin to upgrade their hotels. Choose Marriot.

  • - Reservation at Wyndham Beaufort/Paris Island; $50 deposit.
  • - Identity theft claim; police; cancellation approved by manager after Priceline contact.
Updated by user Mar 28, 2026

I called corporate Wyndham and spoke with a representative and he was rude as well. He kept cutting me off and would not let me finish a sentence.

He agreed with the hotel and kept me Blacklisted. He never once offered me an apology or explanation.

Original review Mar 28, 2026
I made a reservation for Johnson and Wyndham in Beaufort/Paris island. I showed up to the hotel to check in.

The man at the kiosk, repeated multiple times for me to put my ID picture side down on the scanner.( It was already face down the first time he asked me) He explained the $50 deposit and I said I was going to go put it on my card and I will be back. As I was talking with the man on the machine, he answered the phone and was talking on the phone. So, I walked out, got something to eat, and put the money on my card for the deposit and then returned. There were 2 police cars leaving as I parked.

I went in and spoke to the same man in the machine. He then informed me that some lady called with my same name and told them I was trying to check into her room and to call the police for trying to steal her identity. I showed the man both emails with my confirmation number on them and the bank record where it took the money out already. He continued to tell me the confirmation number was incorrect and it should have started with an 8 and not a 9.

I continued to show him all the emails stating that the room was mine and that I am Heather Brown. He then explained that when the police came they were there for me, for IDENTITY THEFT!! I was embarrassed, my character was defamed/ slander/libel. He unfoundley blamed and wrongfully implicated me.

His aspersion against me came with bad consequences. I am a travel nurse and I was completely embarrassed and put out of the hotel and then blacklisted from ALL Wyndhams. I had to end up sleeping in my truck for the whole night in a wal mart parking lot as that was the last of my money. I reserved the room through priceline.

Priceline was told by the Kiosk man that my cancellation on my room had to be approved by a manager. Check in was at 3pm. It was at that time 645pm. I was then informed the manager would not be on duty until 9 or 10 pm and that I had to wait until that time.

I slept in my truck until 1035 in a Walmart parking lot. I called Priceline back and THEN was informed the manager wouldnt be on duty until the following day at 9am. So, i slept and sat in my truck for 18hrs waiting for a manager to approve my cancelation. I was extremely inconvenienced and embarrassed.

I called Priceline again and inquired about the manager. She informed me the property was not answering the phone and i should continue to wait a few more hours. I refused to hang up and informed them i would call back every 2 min until they got ahold of the manager. The lady put me on hold and eventually contacted the manager that approved my cancellation of my reservation.

Priceline gave me an extra $20 for my inconvenience but the refund will now take up to 24 hrs. None of this was any fault of my own. And No one has taken any responsibility for the extreme disrespect i was shown and how i was treated.

I could have been arrested for identity theft for NO fault of my own. I will never rent a room from Priceline or a Wyndham again.
Pros:
  • Cheaper hotel
Cons:
  • Rude and discriminatory staff

Preferred solution: I would like not to be Blacklisted from ALL the Wyndhams. I would also like to get compensation for my embarrassment and disrespect AND almost getting arrested.

User's recommendation: Do your research first before jumping to conclusions. That man could have called Priceline before calling the police.

Room was not clean

AI Highlights
  • - Lobby is beautiful; other areas feel outdated.
  • - Hallway carpet has stains and odor.
  • - Bathroom not cleaned; towels smell musty; surfaces dirty.

The lobby is beautiful thats about it. The carpet in the hallway had huge nasty stains and the hallway itself had an unpleasant smell.

The door frame of my room looked absolutely horrible, there was missing pieces of wood from the door. The bathroom/ room definitely was not cleaned. The towels in the bathroom had a musty smell and the bathroom did not smell fresh either. I wiped the floor with a piece of toilet paper and it was full of dirt.

The bathroom counter was not cleaned either. The comforter had a small red stain on it and smelled like an old dish rag. The carpet in the room was also nasty and the chair had a big stain on it. The ac unit had a piece of wood holding it up and at times it made loud noises.

The fridge had an item left in it from previous guest. There were stains on the curtains. I will never book a room there again. The hotel looks outdated with the exception of the lobby.

Free breakfast was not included. The check in person was ok but the check out person hardly said a word to me.

Once again reaching out about your HR manager at downtown okc. Drinking on the job.

Giving people drugs on the job. Vaping in her office. Taking naps. Buying personal things with company money.

All the things a manager isnt supposed to be doing she does.

Then leaves work early. Why are we allowing someone with a record continue to traffic drugs in the work place.

Preferred solution: someone fired.

If everyone were treated like they treated me, they would have to sell the entire brand.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Stayed at Wyndham during contract work; experiences were largely negative.
  • - A manager canceled a low price reservation and rebooked at $250 for one night.

I was a contract machinist for a few years which meant that I moved about evewry 6 months and lived in hotels. My company had an agreement with the Wyndham group hotels for a 'discounted' rate, so I downloaded their app, created my rewards account and stayed-pretty much exclusively-at wyndham hotels for 2-3 years. I truly never had what I would refer to as a 'good' experience, but in the beginning it was alright. I always go for cheapest (super 8, days inn, econo lodge, etc.) so, yeah, they were pretty *** rooms and often had the ambiance of a *** hostel-none of that bothers me though. I am a very easy guest if you allow me to be-I will always pay, respect the property and clean when I leave... But I was a 20-something contractor in a strange city with a hotel room... So I had company pretty often. Its not like I was throwing raves or anything but I would often have a different 'overnight' guest each night. It seems that all wyndham locations are owned and operated by very devout muslim families who are not American and actually hate America. I stayed at a super 8 in indiana where the manager would complain that I was too loud-literally-every time I kicked my boots off, closed the bathroom door or shut the microwave-what he was ACTUALLY unhappy about was me having other dudes over for playtime but since he cant say that here, he practically sat and listened all day. I guess they have some sort of note system where other wyndham hotels can see what you write because after staying at that hotel, despite being a diamond rewards member, I am consistently treated like GARBAGE each time I try to stay at a wyndham hotel. At least the past 3 stays, I have had to spend hours on the phone with the diamond concierge people to straighten out payment issues (they overcharge) or bookings which they will not allow me to check in with, but also will not cancel (because then they have to refund, if you cancel it may not be refundable). Nothing compares to my last stay though-and I mean last as in most recent, and last as in NEVER again.

I was driving far. I stopped for a room. Pulled out the app, booked the cheapest room-days inn. (I'm rounding because I cant remember) $60+$10 tax and fees for $70. I booked it. Drove there. Asked to check in early (a 'free' service when you have earned diamond status) and was told that I would have to pay. Okay-I was extremely early, and I am used to these allahu america haters being penny pinchers by now, so I smiled and said that was fine. so that would have been $110 total. He found my reservation, we made small talk as I checked in, he told me when to insert my card, I did, and I made my way to my room. All is well. Until I checked my account. Long story short-this was not a mistake, this was entirely intentional, fraudulent, dishonest, thevious and infuriating. The manager acted like he was checking me in at the front desk with the reservation I had made on the app but that is not what he did-he didnt like the price I booked, so he decided to take it upon himself to charge me more. Without asking me or telling me, he cancelled my reservation, created a new one, punched in his own, new price at $250 for 1 night. It got way, way worse though... I confronted them about this and they began screaming at me that I had agreed to the $40 early check in. He knew what he was doing. I didnt argue. I called wyndham and they acted like they were sick of me-well freaking sorry? get your managers on a leash!! this was literally theft, illegal and absolutely not okay! I spent over 4 hours on the phone. The manager and his family outright refused to refund, and wyndham said they couldnt do anything about it. The whole time im on the phone, the family is sitting outside my door, playing loud music, laughing, tapping on the glass and blowing leaf blowers under my door.

Ultimately, I did receive a refund to correct the price to the price I had agreed to-and they didnt offer me anything for the insane experience-I didnt ask either-I deleted the app after receiving the refund and downloaded choice-which is an outstandingly better collection of hotels, at only slightly higher prices.

The pattern at wyndham was always the same-haggling managers who are rude, quick to discriminate, skimp on breakfast, towels, soaps, etc, and will rob you blind if you dont watch them. They will harass you for having a guest and are nosier than a helicopter parent, like their roadside motel is a priceless relic. Im sorry but I work for my money and I will NOT spend it to be treated like a problem, take care.C

Need help making reservations

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Difficult to reserve online via Wyndham rewards app.
  • - Hotels show breakfast or pool, but not both.
  • - Unclear if rewards offer better rates.

I had difficulties making reservations online through my Wyndham rewards app. The hotels were showing either breakfast included or pool included but did not present both amenities at each one.

I am a rewards member and have AARP, therefore I could not figure out which way to reserve to get the better rate. I also could not see if I had to pay upfront for the hotel I wanted to reserve or if I could pay when I arrived.

Pros:
  • Customer service is very friendly and helpful
Cons:
  • I had to talk to an agent that does not speak very well english and she was getting frustrated with me asking her to repeat herself

Preferred solution: Price reduction

Call Wyndham, they will do more for you than the hotel itself. Wyndham is a brand, they do not own the hotel but the hotel must comply with Wyndham standards, if you’re a rewards member, they will credit points to you that you can use for a future free stay. Sorry that happened to you, very frustrating I’m sure!

Horrible, filthy hotel, no shuttle, no parking, wromg room, dirty room with food in floor horrible manager Mike

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Check-in had wrong bed setup, a dirty room, and multiple changes.
  • - Shuttle unavailable; vouchers denied, towels missing, parking charges applied.

When I was first checking in a nice lady Stephanie went and found us a cart for our luggage and when we found out the shuttle was broken down, she said she would drive my husband back to the airport in the morning after he dropped off my disabled granddaughter, myself and all our luggage. Even after calling way ahead of time and telling them we needed a room with 2 beds and big enough for our granddaughter to be able to get around with her wheelchair they put us in a room with a king-sized bed.

The girl at the counter Jacey gave us a 2nd room in another part of the hotel and 3 vouchers for dinner for the inconvenience. The next room had a shower with glass and an opening of less than 2 feet, and the room was still dirty with food on the floor. I called Jacey and she said she was busy with customers at the time and to call her back. We knew we weren't going to stay in a dirty room, so we packed up everything and went to the front desk for a refund.

When we got to the front desk a man named Mike said he was going to give us the room with the king-sized bed and another room for free. to take care of the problem and that no other hotel would ever do anything like this for us and that all disability rooms only come with king-sized beds at every hotel. They ended up finding him a room on the 2nd floor way away from us. which was all ok, but I wanted my husband with us in the same room and needed help with my disabled granddaughter.

After we got settled in my husband said to come check out his room. It had the 2 beds a tub and would have been perfect. But we had already moved everything 3 times and were not about to move it all again. Mike also said he was not going to let any of his employees take anyone to the airport and that Stephanie offered this out of the goodness of her heart and that he was not going to allow his employees to start driving people to the airport it is a liability issue.

Mike said the airport is only a couple miles away and that we can take an Uber. He then informed us the parking charge is $3.00 per day even though we already arranged and paid for it in advance and that if we did not have a pass in our window, he would have our vehicle towed away. We had now been trying to check in for over 3 hours. We met at the bar/dining area and ordered dinner with the vouchers given to us by Jacey as we were tired and hungry and after our order was taken and the lady was making our meals Mike came over and said we have been given enough and are not allowed to use them.

So, we got up and left and went to bed. I asked about a shower chair and Mike said we don't have one of those but thank you for the idea. We had no washcloths in our room so I went back to the desk and asked Mike if I could get 2 washcloths and he said there was none at the front desk, but he would have someone bring some to me and never did. I called my husband in his room upstairs and asked him to bring me some.

The desk clerks Jacey and Stephanie tried to help us and kept apologizing. The lobby and hotel was hot and filthy with roof tiles falling off and guests kept calling and coming to the desk with all kinds of complaints and problems from the pool not working. to air conditioners not working, no black out curtains in the room, no towels. to dirty rooms.

The poor girl Jacey kept apologizing and tried to help but was overwhelmed by the number of complaints as she tried to check in people at the same time. What a horrible run down miserably hot hotel with no pool, no towels, no shuttle service, no parking, even after already being paid for with my reservation. This Wyndham hotel is the worst I have ever been in. The girl at the counter Jacey tried to help and so did Stephanie.

The breakfast was just ok, and coffee was watered down and horrible and in such a miserably hot lobby. What made it better was the smile and friendly good morning from Lisa the breakfast attendant. Stay away from this hotel it is absolutely the worst. parksleephotels, com should remove this from the website as they don't give you any of these services.

Hopefully the poor employees can find a job at a hotel that cares about the hotel, employees and guests. Wyndham should definitely close this hotel down and get rid of Mike I am not sure if he is a manager or owner, but he has to go.

I am surprised as bad as it is the health department hasn't shut it down already. As for us we will not be staying in a Wyndham hotel anymore.

Wyndham Hotels And Resorts - Unsafe

2 male workers tried to enter my room at midnight. They were screaming at us.

We were scared. When I called front desk the man told me to shut up when I said I was calling 911. They also tried to enter my sons room. The room was disgusting.

The pool was not working and green and stunk. The milk was frozen had to thaw in microwave.
