In Oceanside Pier 2/2008 I too had the same experience others have reported with an unethically sales practice where they scammed a Discovery VIP pkg on me with credit vouchers for RCI worth $200 each that were given (that don't apply to Discovery owners) and a casual acquaintance visiting with me was slapped on the contract (who I have no info on). Once I found out what they'd done I called & spoke with the sales manager Anthony @ the Oceanside Pier Resort where I was told they knew they had a problem and that that specific employee since then has been terminated.

He stated others had the same complaint he said. He promised to follow-up & get some resolve for me & never called back. Now no one will talk to me. They just refer to customer relations.

I paid over $2300 for something other than what I believed I was getting and now it's expired. I received no value out of this. Also, the contract amount and total amount & written language don't jive. They continue to ignore me when I point this out.

They continue to have their finance dept. call and harass me for what they believe I still owe them. Customer relations and service are a waste of time. I'm debating suing them as I paid (out of force to preserve my credit)for something other than what I was proposed.

They also have been calling and harassing me about missing a payment that I made that they misapplied to someone else's account. Once I sent the copy of the cancelled check they stopped for minute but still believe I owe them something.

I'm also reporting them to the BBB of Florida and Oceanside Pier, San Diego County. Again, feel free to include me in any complaint or class action.

Location: Fountain Hills, Arizona

I have the same problem...signed up for Discovery program to freeze a deal that my husband and I couldn't afford yet. The contarct was up since July 2012.

We have not been contacted by email, phone call or letter. Ms. Dones, the agent who signed us up said at the time of signing that she will contact us before the contract is up, and if we decide not to continue, we can get refunded for our payments. Not heard from her.

Now, I'm getting billed every month, my credit report is ruined, and all I want is out.

Don't want to renew the contract and every number I called is not getting me anywhere!! Has anyone have an idea how to solve this?

I had the same problem and getting the run around. They told me after i paid $2500 to discovery the equity will go towards purchasinig Wyndham property.

Know the money that I paid will not go to purchased a resort property.

I had to pay $1000-$1200 extra in order continue with Wyndham/Discovery. Lormon email me turnerpeaches@***.com Lormon

I visited in June and came across similar experience. They seemed to be well known for tossing people around and blaming on someone else for their problem. I got a vacation package and was assigned a poor hotel. Front desk said I had to wait for a day for her manager to address the issue. Manager was very rude and she was blaming on the marketing/sales for selling the package and she said her responsibility is not to deal with guests through that package. I called customer relations and though they seemed to try to help me, they put the onus on the welcome center. I had to attend the presentation and everyone there seemed to send me off quickly without even caring to take note of my experience. Eventually, I got fed up and left earlier than I planned.

I expected good service from such a well known wyndham brand but I really got a raw deal. I called customer relations to give my feedback and noticed that they have no record of my repeated calls from Oceanside.

So, this seems to be a coordinated rip-off. Rip off through time share or at least through such vacation packages. I would never stay in any Wyndham property ever.
